Ouzo & orange Greek cookies (gf)

You might wonder if the title is equal to the taste of the recipe. Trust me, is heavenly! Nothing can go wrong with ouzo. First,let me introduce you to ouzo.Ouzo has a similar taste to absinthe which is liquorices-like, but smoother. Is traditionally mixed with water, becoming cloudy white, sometimes with a faint blue tinge, and served with ice cubes in a small glass.

Ouzo can also be drunk straight from a shot glass,which is really strong and I personally avoiding it. Personally,prefer it mixed with orange juice,it makes it smoother,and fruity. Like many other Greek distilled products,is very strong and if you don’t control it you are getting drunk fast. It connects people,it brings them closer.

These cookies are also vegan. Greek cuisine has  numerous of vegan recipes,both sweet and savory. You will fall in love with these little babies! They are fruity and have the kick of anise from ouzo. Crunchy…
