Season of grapes and my mind is blown! Bad thing is,many people underestimate them and don’t realize how delicious and nutritious (in small portions) really are. My daughter loves them and she,literally,can’t stop eating them! Such a great snack,adds incredible flavor in cooking as well as baking.
In Greece,where grapes have been around since ever,harvest of grapes is a huge celebration and honor. We keep the must,a thick,pack freshly pressed grape juice,which technically is the first step in winemaking. The taste is wrong and sweet,an amazing ingredient for baking! In Greece,we call it “mousto” and we make cookies,pudding and cakes out of it.
Having such a beautiful fruit it would be a shame not to bake with it. So,I decide to make a cake out of it,with those little green sweet little fellas and the nutty flavor of the subtle almonds. The grapes are slightly soft while still…
